On Tuesday, March 14th, ABB joined labor unions and community groups from across Tennessee for Working People’s Day on the Hill at the state capitol in Nashville. Attendees called on state lawmakers to address the pressing needs of working families, including greater investments in public education and high-quality jobs. ABB’s Policy Manager of the Southern Office spoke about the need to limit state interference in local decision-making, including our efforts to allow localities to set paid leave standards for taxpayer-funded contractors. ABB will continue fighting until local leaders in TN have the freedom to use every available tool to bring high-quality jobs with basic protections like paid sick leave to their communities.
