The Department of Justice and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission released guidance falsely claiming that diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs can lead to illegal workplace discrimination.

“The Department of Justice and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission are both now claiming that diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs can lead to illegal workplace discrimination. It is clear that the Trump administration intends to distort the law to turn back the clock on civil rights. DEI programs support racial, gender, and LGBTQ equality and make our workplaces healthier and stronger for all. We will fight to ensure our nation’s workplace laws are enforced correctly.”
